| Get 15" 8 lug rims, and grind your calipers. Be cheaper than buying wheel and tires. | |

| everyone is telling my i can't because i have a 79 ford dana 44 and the calipers on fords are bigger than chevy's so 15 inch won't fit? i know chevy dana 44 works if you grind but not ford? | |

| I don't know why they wouldn't work. If not, just swap Chevy outers on it. Might as well put rear discs on it while you are at it. Here are the brackets you need for a 14 bolt. http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/caliper-mounting-bracket-standard-p-10.html If you need, you can check mine out to see how it goes together. | |

| i put an 85 ford sterling 10.25 in the rear that's a posi i got a really good deal on from Greg in athol. i've been looking at stuff on pirate4x4 and you can make 15's work on a 79 dana 44 but you have to have 3.5 inches of backspacing and grind a ton off your calipers and then people said it depends on the wheel to. so i think i'm just going to go to 16 inch and not worry about any of that | |

| The site I posted has brackets for the Sterling also. My 15" 8 lugs have a 3" backspace, and I didn't have to grind that much from my calipers, and I'm running a 60. It's your rig, so it's your call. | |
